We are looking for a Public Engagement Coordinator eager to apply their existing public engagement knowledge to carry forward and improve our approach. The Public Engagement Coordinator will assist the Public Engagement Manager and participating researchers within the Institute in creating and delivering an exciting programme of public engagement projects.

Candidates should be educated to at least degree level / Level 6 vocational qualification or equivalent level of practical experience. A degree in a Biology or Science Communication related field is highly desirable. Enthusiasm for conveying science to a variety of audiences, of all ages and levels of knowledge, is vital.  Experience of working in an administrative/secretarial role, and knowledge of facts, principles, processes and general concepts related to Project Administration are needed.

Excellent organisational and IT skills, including familiarity with databases, spreadsheets, and editorial software and experience of digital content management are also essential. Some evening and weekend work will occasionally be required.  This is a full-time position (37 hours per week, with flexible hours) but part-time will be considered, if required by the successful candidate.

Limited funding: The funds for this post are available until 30 November 2021 in the first instance.
