Global Challenges Forum Project Manager at University of Birmingham


Full Time/fixed term for 2 Years

The University of Birmingham, through its Institute for Global Innovation, is leading in the development of Forum for Global Challenges (GCF2022), which will be held around the time Birmingham hosts the Commonwealth Games, in May 2022.

The Project Manager will co-ordinate the work of the GCF2022 governing bodies and an external Events Management Company in managing the development, delivery and operation of GCF2022, working closely with staff of the Institute for Advanced Studies, Institute for Global Innovation and UoB Professional Services staff in event management, external relations, business engagement, marketing, public affairs, and an external event management company, external stakeholders and others.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of managing and delivering projects and working with key stakeholders.  They will successfully deliver the GCF on time and to budget; and will play a key role in ensuring the success of this unique and complex event at the University of Birmingham.

Full time starting salary is normally in the range £30,942 to £40,322, with potential progression once in post to £42,792
