Temporary Finance Assistant and Portfolio Administrator

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Finance Administrator to join a fantastic organisation based in South Oxfordshire.

Working on a long term temporary basis, this will be an excellent opportunity to utilise your skills and gain some wonderful exposure within an interesting field.

You will be responsible for the processing of a range of finance activities, ensuring they are completed to a high standard, providing exceptional support to some exciting external clients.

Although the role will begin remotely, you must be able to travel to the office in South Oxfordshire, as it is likely the team will return to normal working once lockdown lifts.

This is a full time position, 9am-5pm, 37.5 hours per week.

Temporary Finance Assistant and Portfolio Administrator Responsibilities

Your main duties will include:

  • Purchase/sales ledger
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Double entry bookkeeping
  • Involvement with forecasting and reporting
  • Arranging senior level finance meetings
  • Acting as company secretary
  • Working as the main point of contact for the investment team
  • Planning board meetings with non-executive directors
  • Statutory returns
  • Taking minutes as board meetings
  • Processing expenses
  • Assisting with the staff payroll
  • Bank reconciliations
  • General administration when required.

Temporary Finance Assistant and Portfolio Administrator Requirements

You will be a Finance professional looking to work in a dynamic and impressive organisation.

With previous experience of Xero, you will be able to hit the ground running and support the Head of Finance with the essential transactional duties. You will be an experienced professional who can make a mark immediately.

Previous experience of Xero is absolutely essential -please ensure this is evident on your CV. Advanced Excel, with experience of Pivot Tables and V Look Ups as a minimum, is critical.

You must be accurate and meticulous with a positive and personable attitude.

Ambition, drive and determination will enable you to succeed in this role. A polished and professional telephone manner is key, as you will be liaising with some very senior contacts.
